Deer and Ostrich Breeding Centre, Sungkai Wildlife Reserve, Perak Conservation work at this centre focuses on captive breeding programmes for the sambar deer and indigenous pheasant species. This 50ha centre was opened in 1971 to develop and maintain a sustainable genetic breeding pool for each of the rare and endangered species it maintains.
