This HAKKA tin-miner's clubhouse was founded by China-born tin-miner Leong Fee alias Liang P'i Joo (1857-1911), a Kar Yin Hakka. His son. Leong Yin Khean alias Liang En-Chuen, continued to sponsor the lodge, then sold the house cheaply to the club.
